Santa Cruz Archers hosts a number of events during the year. We generally host three large, public shoots on our outdoor range per year: the 3D in the Redwoods shoot in June, the Beat the Heat trad only shoot in July, and the Bad Boys of Branciforte in early October.
We also host smaller shoots for club members and guests, as well as one and sometimes two of the regional shoots and as one venue for state shoots.
Below are the event descriptions and usual timing. As events are scheduled, we’ll post the actual date and as we get closer to the event, we will post a flyer with more detailed information about cost, amenities, etc.
Public Events
Note: After the conclusion of each of the public events, we will post shoot results to our Shoot Results page.
3D in the Redwoods
Our first outdoor 3D shoot of the year, generally the 1st Sunday in June. All Styles, Unmarked. 29 targets, 2 arrows per target. First arrow at 9:00 AM.
Beat the Heat Traditional Shoot
This past summer we hosted our inaugural Beat the Heat shoot for trad archers only. No compounds. The event was such a success we will likely make this an annual event for the club.
Designed to maximize fun, we’ll have approximately 30 targets including standard 3D targets and several novelty targets.
Watch this space for more details as the event approaches.
Bad Boys of Branciforte
Generally held the 1st Sunday in October. All Styles, Marked. 29 targets, 2 arrows per target. First arrow at 9:00 AM.
